Florianopolis, the capital of Santa Catarina state, was called the city of the future of Brazil.
It's not a secret that Brazilian economy is growing very fast; at $2.4 trillion, Brazil’s economy is twice the size of its nearest neighbor Mexico, and, plus to all, foreign investment in Brazil is greater than every other country in Latin America.
Originally the biggest and the most attractive cities for tourists and businessmen in Brazil were Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, but nowadays the situation is changing.
One of new liders in Brazil is Florianopolis, metro population 1.1 million, and according to some experts, Florianopolis may be the city of superlatives within Brazil.
And there plenty of reasons to explain this. It’s a vibrant university town, one biggest Universities (UFSC) is situated here. It’s a rapidly-growing technology hub. It has the highest reported quality of life in Brazil, among the highest in the world. It was even named by local mass media ‘the best place to live in Brazil.’
This city has a structure similar to Rio de Janeiro with its 42 beaches, but twice more safe. Plus to all it has an international airport with flights to Montevideo, Buenos Aires. All features together allow to call Florianopolis another Miami, with more opportunities and less problems.
